Improve your Spanish through listening and speaking

Talking in a foreign language as part of a group with a similar ability level can help you to speak and write the language better. With this in mind, there are regular conversation evenings in Cheltenham where you can talk and listen to practise and develop your Spanish language skills. These meetings are independently organised out of personal interest in practising and improving Spanish, and are arranged in good faith but with no guarantees of any kind (!) as a purely informal gathering in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Due to the extent of British regulations and potential liability, these evenings regrettably have to be for people aged 18 and above at least for the time being although this will be reviewed in due course.

The evenings are held in La Tasca in the centre of Cheltenham, usually on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evening. Each meeting can include both individual conversations and group discussions. Currently each evening attracts approximately 5 - 15 people, each with varying ability which can be anything from higher-beginner through intermediate and advanced to fluent. These evenings are free to attend but the staff at La Tasca would appreciate it if you buy yourself a drink or something to eat, although there's no obligation.

We now create a list each time of useful words someone was unsure of or didn't know, and these will be posted on this website after each evening for you to copy and edit as you choose - for example deleting words you already know and rearranging them. Making sure you know the words from each conversation evening will help you to quickly expand your vocabulary and knowledge of the language.
